For most of the year Hocking Hills is mobbed with tourists visiting the caves, rock formations, and waterfalls. But if you’re willing to brave freezing temperatures in late December, you can get these natural attractions almost all to yourself.Sedimentary rock formations in this area are revealed by water, plant, and wind action, carved over millenia.Despite being the dead of winter, the Hocking Hills, in the right light, can reveal some lovely colors.And here is my wife and our faithful Whisky, a Cairn Terrier that doesn’t love the car, but does love to visit new places with us.
